Japan’s low-cost carrier Peach Aviation made a major announcement today, unveiling its long-secret "Sky Train." Resembling a train with wings, it can not only fly but also link multiple carriages together to extend its length based on passenger numbers—and it can even transform into a robot. Of course, this is all just an April Fools' Day prank.

Japan’s Peach Aviation released a video on YouTube announcing the launch of the "Sky Train." The video introduces this aircraft, which looks like a regular train but comes with wings to fly. It can also add more carriages depending on the number of passengers. Balancing both aerial and ground needs, the Sky Train can not only take to the skies but also move on land, with its main terminal set at Namba Station in Osaka to cater to travelers' sightseeing, shopping, and dining needs. Furthermore, the Sky Train can switch to robot mode, carrying passengers over mountains and across valleys.

Of course, you can’t miss the railway bento boxes you’d expect on a train ride. On the Sky Train, flight attendants will deliver delicious bento meals while wearing rocket backpacks. Additionally, a prepaid card called "TOBOCA" has been launched, offering the same convenience as riding a ground railway. The ultimate plan? To eventually add stations in space and take passengers on journeys through the cosmos.

Though purely an April Fools' joke and currently impossible to implement, this wildly imaginative and creative concept sparked online discussions, with many praising its ingenuity and expressing hopes of one day actually riding the Sky Train.
