Taiwan’s longest suspension bridge, Taiping Cloud Ladder, to complete in July and begin trial operations

Taiwan’s longest suspension bridge, the “Taiping Cloud Ladder,” is expected to be completed in July, enter trial operations in August, and officially open in September. The bridge in Taiping, Chiayi, spans 281 meters, making it longer than Pingtung’s Shan Chuan Glass Bridge at 262 meters, while Nantou’s Sky Bridge measures 204 meters. Once completed, the Taiping Cloud Ladder will be the longest suspension bridge in Taiwan. Situated at an altitude of 1,000 meters, it offers breathtaking mountain views, including the panoramic scenery of Meishan’s 36 Hairpin Turns.

During the August trial period, advance reservations will also be required. After the official opening in September, ticket prices will be set at NT$150 for individuals and NT$120 for groups. Tickets during the trial period will be more affordable than those after the opening. In the future, visitors will need to make reservations to access the bridge. Tickets and shuttle bus passes can be purchased at convenience stores, with vehicles required to park in downtown Meishan and transfer to shuttles. Detailed pricing and access procedures for the Taiping Cloud Ladder will be further planned and announced.
