Hidden gourmet gems can be found in many alleyways, and this bread shop called “Cang A Pang” has made a name for itself with its daily limited-edition scallion bread. There’s often a constant stream of customers at the door, and it’s said that you might have to wait up to two hours just to taste its deliciousness. This naturally makes people wonder why an ordinary scallion bread can cause such a huge sensation.

The shop specially sources Yilan Sanxing scallions, which enhance the aroma and texture of the scallion bread. The price varies depending on scallion market rates, and only 1,500 loaves are baked each day, selling out as soon as they’re ready. Due to its immense popularity, to allow more people to enjoy the delicious taste, purchases are limited to a maximum of 20 loaves per person. And even before the bread goes on sale, the entrance is already crowded with fans.

The fluffy bread is topped with an abundant amount of Yilan Sanxing scallions. As soon as it’s taken out of the bag, the aroma wafts through the air along with the warmth, making your mouth water just from the smell. Unlike typical bakery offerings, the scallion bread here is relatively thick, attractive, and you can even faintly see the balanced oils glistening on the surface.
The savory flavor of the scallions is perfectly balanced. When you take a gentle bite, not only do you get an incredibly appealing chewy texture, but the rich scallion taste fills your whole mouth. Thanks to the generous use of ingredients, every bite is packed with plenty of scallions. If you happen to be a “bread lover” or a “scallion enthusiast,” don’t miss the legendary “Cang A Pang – Roast Scallion Bread” when you visit Taichung.
