Beyond speed, Japan now offers more relaxing travel options—like this exclusive "Train Suite Shiki-shima" launched by Japanese railway company JR, which takes passengers on a journey to experience Japan’s stunning landscapes.

According to the Daily Mail, the "Train Suite Shiki-shima" is essentially a mobile luxury suite, featuring a two-story design that allows travelers to enjoy panoramic views along the way. Designed by experts who have worked on high-end sports cars like Porsche and Ferrari, the train also boasts a cool exterior.

The "Train Suite Shiki-shima" will debut in May, departing from Ueno Station. Different seasons offer different package itineraries, including two-day, one-night; three-day, two-night; and four-day, three-night options. All journeys highlight the unique culture, craftsmanship, and cuisine of the regions visited, with current destinations including Nikko in Tochigi Prefecture, Hakodate and Naruko Onsen in Hokkaido, and Aomori. Dining on the train is also a highlight, with a team of top chefs using seasonal Japanese ingredients to provide an exceptional culinary experience. For example, on the Hakodate route, passengers can enjoy famous dishes like squid and salmon roe rice bowls.
