Seasonal limited golden rice wave scenery: Yilan's Bora Boulevard goes viral

From June to early July, during the rice harvesting season
In addition to spots like Chihshang Bora Boulevard, Taichung Waipu Valley of Serenity, and Miaoli Zhenghan Trail
where you can enjoy the canvas of the land
here’s another rapidly rising attraction, Yilan Bora Boulevard
Located in Sanqi Village, Dongshan Township, with a clear landmark at the entrance

Navigation can be set to Yilan Bora Boulevard
or you can navigate to Fengzun Temple, with vehicles parked in the temple’s parking lot
then walk about 5 minutes to reach the viewing platform

Dongshan Township Office has built a 6.5-meter-high photography platform at the entrance
for visitors to climb up and overlook this golden expanse

Open period: June 1, 2017 ~ June 30, 2017
Opening hours: 08:30 ~ 17:30
Originally scheduled for demolition on July 1, 2017, but considering the opening of the Children's Festival on July 1
and due to it being a holiday, the demolition was postponed to July 3

Climbing up the platform, the Bora Boulevard through the fisheye lens
A three-kilometer rural road winding through undulating rice fields
A vast view without any power poles

The photography platform is about three stories high, so be careful when taking photos
The second floor offers shade and a cooler feel, but is lower in height
The third floor has no shade and gets hot, but offers a wide view (there are several small platforms on the third floor with higher angles)

On the left side of Bora Boulevard, there is a gradient beauty
Golden rice fields represent mature crops ready for harvest
Yellow-green rice fields are nearly fully mature

The right side of Bora Boulevard is also almost entirely golden waves of rice, which is very soothing to look at
The blue sky in the background further highlights the golden scenery.

Most of Taiwan's rice fields are second-season crops.
The first-season rice crop is grown from around February to June.
The second-season rice crop is grown from around August to December.
Before harvest, the rice fields form golden ears, displaying sweeping waves of gold.

The straight road, resembling the famous Bangrong Boulevard, earns its name for that reason.
Using a telephoto lens,
further emphasizes the curves of the road.

You can also enjoy a distant view of the Lizhijian Bridge over the Dongshan River.
There are many scarecrows in the rice fields
to prevent birds from disturbing the crops.
Even in hot weather,
the area attracts many visitors who come to take photos.

Friends painting nearby have created vivid depictions of Bangrong Boulevard.
There are also some scarecrow-themed props around the rice fields
that provide great backdrops for photography.

Bangrong Boulevard is only open to pedestrians and cyclists.
Riding a bicycle alongside the golden rice waves is truly delightful.
