The trial opening of the Chinchihzi Skywalk, with its breathtaking ocean views, draws huge crowds

Less than two weeks into the trial period, on July 12, a visitor threw a stone at the tempered glass surface of the skywalk, causing a one-meter section to crack. After receiving reports of this intentional damage to the skywalk, the Fengbin Township Office immediately dispatched personnel for emergency repairs. The skywalk has been temporarily closed, and the reopening date is yet to be determined.

Originally a coastal path from the Japanese colonial era, later known as the Chinchihzi Maritime Ancient Trail, the now-completed Chinchihzi Skywalk has opened to the public, drawing visitors with its picturesque ocean views. Although the completion schedule had been delayed multiple times, the skywalk finally began its trial operation at the start of the summer vacation. The skywalk can support approximately 230 people walking on it simultaneously, but for safety reasons, the Fengbin Township Office will manage on-site crowd control, allowing only 100 visitors onto the bridge at a time.

During the trial operation period, priority is given to inviting residents of Fengbin Township to visit, followed by scheduled visits for various community groups, tribal organizations, and local neighborhoods. In the future, parking fees and admission charges for the ancient trail experience will also be implemented.
