Taiwan’s No.1 Most Design-Forward Pharmacy Redefines Tradition with Green Fashion

When most people think of a pharmacy, they picture a cold, sterile atmosphere filled with the smell of disinfectant, with the image of a white monolith deeply etched in their minds. However, the flagship store of “Molecular Pharmacy” in Taichung is flipping that notion on its head, redefining the traditional medical institution concept. The space features a two-story high layout paired with jungle greenery, a central spiral staircase, and transparent open shelves, transforming the pharmacy into a stylish green building.

The site also offers freshly brewed coffee accompanied by soft music, replacing the smell of disinfectant with the aroma of coffee. In addition to medications, it also provides beauty products, incorporating preventive medicine concepts into the pharmacy, kicking off a transformational revolution and new style for chain pharmacies.

Located in Taichung’s Qizhong District National Taichung Theater business area, Molecular Pharmacy’s space was designed by “Waterform Design,” while the plant design was created by “Deer Forest Experimental Flower Corridor.” The first floor features transparent open shelves displaying medications and beauty-related products, and the second floor is designed as an art and cultural salon, making a trip to the pharmacy a visually delightful experience.
