Taichung has a new Instagrammable attraction — the Mini Egg multifunctional sports center located next to the Intercontinental Baseball Stadium. This first-of-its-kind baseball-themed sports and leisure park in Taiwan, which cost hundreds of millions and took seven years to build, was officially opened on the 23rd. The park is located next to the Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, connecting surrounding attractions. It can also serve as a basketball court, large event venue, and more. It includes the Taichung Baseball Story Museum, a sports café, the Good Days Cultural and Creative Market, and container shops, offering visitors a baseball-themed leisure complex.

From a bird’s-eye view, the Mini Egg multifunctional sports center resembles a baseball-shaped structure. Covering a site area of approximately 89,000 square meters and standing 29 meters tall, it houses three floors with 3,000 surrounding seats. The main arena on the third floor is a multipurpose sports venue that can host badminton, basketball, and even international competitions. The first floor is designed as a banquet center, while outside there are the story museum and performance halls.
