Japan Post's limited-edition gashapon features a mini panda mailbox—too cute!

The ever-talked-about Japan Post has launched a new gashapon series, this time creating miniature versions of actual Japanese mailboxes or postal workers' helmets. As soon as they were released, people couldn't stop calling them adorable and saying they had to be collected.

Japan Post has crafted 1/18 or 1/12 scale miniatures using locally distinctive mailboxes, including the famous panda mailbox at Ueno Zoo, one of Japan's iconic landmarks. Recreated to match the real mailbox’s appearance, the intricate craftsmanship is truly admirable and showcases Japan’s toy-making excellence.

This gashapon series is available for purchase at counters nationwide in Japan, priced at 300 Japanese yen each, with limited quantities available until sold out. Smaller post offices may have lower stock levels, so fans are advised to visit larger post offices if they want one.
