World’s Best Airport Announced: Changi’s New Terminal Is Breathtakingly Beautiful

Singapore’s Changi Airport has been ranked the world’s best airport for the past five years. Recently, photos of its upcoming Terminal 4 were released. The design takes a tech-inspired approach as its overall theme and draws inspiration from the symmetry of Singapore’s national flower, the orchid. Greenery can be seen everywhere throughout the terminal. By making full use of natural light, the plants inside can carry out photosynthesis effectively, bringing to life Singapore’s reputation as a “City in a Garden” right in the airport.

The airport houses 186 trees, including 160 banyan trees that grow naturally in ample sunlight. Beyond its natural elements, artistry fills every corner of Changi Airport. The facades of the shopping streets were jointly created by local and international artists, so stunning that many say they simply must visit.

The new terminal isn’t just eye-catching in terms of hardware—the airport operations have also advanced. Changi Airport will use the latest facial recognition technology to improve clearance efficiency, saving passengers from waiting in long queues. By the end of this year, airlines such as AirAsia, Cathay Pacific, Cebu Pacific, Korean Air, Spring Airlines, and Vietnam Airlines will operate flights from this Terminal 4, and travelers are eagerly anticipating its opening！
