You may have tried alfalfa sprout rolls before, but have you ever had one topped with honey mustard sauce and fresh strawberries? To celebrate strawberry season, Mix’s Handmade Alfalfa Sprout Rolls in Shalu, Taichung, got creative by adding plump, fresh strawberries to their rolls and drizzling them with honey mustard sauce. With just one bite, you’ll immediately taste the delightful sweet-and-sour flavor and refreshing taste. The rolls became an instant hit upon launch.

Located on Beishi East Road near Huangkuang University of Science and Technology and Providence University, this area is packed with various food options and is a popular dining spot for students from both schools. In mid-March 2016, a new alfalfa sprout roll shop opened here, offering students a different breakfast choice during morning hours. Although the shop has only been open for a short year, its refreshing, non-greasy rolls, generous portions, and affordable prices have quickly earned it a loyal customer base.

Mix was founded by a student from Huangkuang University’s Department of Hospitality Management, who applied what she learned to create her dream eatery. With the slogan “Using healthy and delicious concepts to develop exclusive flavors with care,” it offers students away from home a healthy dining option. Not only are the rolls tasty, but they’re also low in calories. If you’re tired of egg pancakes and soy milk for breakfast, why not switch it up with a refreshing and delicious roll?
