The “2017 Tainan Summer Music Festival – General’s Roar” will kick off with a bang on August 12 at General’s Fishing Port. Alongside performances by charming vocalist Wing, popular singer-songwriter Wu Wen Fang, and chart-topping hip-hop group 911, the event will also offer exciting challenge activities, promising attendees an unforgettable summer musical extravaganza by the west coast.

On the day of the event, there will also be a local market featuring food, creative products, and unique ice desserts, ensuring that music-loving visitors can also indulge in a feast of delicious treats.Additionally, simply fill out an event questionnaire on-site to receive an exclusive souvenir, or show your ticket from the “One Sight, Two Wonders Art Season” to get a limited-edition concert glow stick on the day of the Tainan Summer Music Festival, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the natural beauty of General’s area.

In conjunction with the Tainan Summer Music Festival, flexible traffic controls will be implemented from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM on August 12 along South Route 25-1 in General’s District (from Provincial Highway 61 to General’s Fishing Port) as well as the surrounding roads of General’s Fishing Port and Mashagou Coastal Recreation Area. Motorists are advised to follow the directions of traffic police and officers, and to pay attention to road safety.

Those arriving by motorcycle or car are also asked to park in designated areas around the venue as directed by traffic control personnel, and to remember their parking location (Car Parking Zones 1–5 and Motorcycle Parking Zones A & B; see attached map). The organizers will also arrange flexible shuttle bus services to transport visitors whose vehicles are parked farther away to the event venue.

Visitors may also take the Greater Tainan Bus to reach the venue. Take the Blue Main Line from Tainan Railway Station to Jiali Station, or the Brown Main Line from Xinying Railway Station to Jiali Station, then transfer to the Blue 10 or Blue 20 Branch Lines to arrive at General’s Fishing Port. Additionally, you may call 55688 directly to book a ride with Taiwan Taxi for round-trip transport to and from the venue, with special discounted rates at designated pick-up points (Tainan Railway Station: NT$700 per car, Tainan HSR Station: NT$1,000 per car). Organizers would like to remind all participants that the weather has been unpredictable recently—remember to bring rain gear, apply sun protection, and stay hydrated.
