Tainan’s Old Sugar Factory Launches 7-Story Freefall Challenge to Get Your Heart Racing

The century-old sugar factory, transformed into Tainan’s Rende Shihku Cultural and Creative Park, has recently embraced an extreme sports vibe. Following the chimney slide, hell descent, and high-altitude climbing, it has now introduced a 20-meter freefall. With safety measures in place, participants can leap from the 7th floor in just three seconds to reach the ground, enjoying an adrenaline-pumping thrill.
 

After the Ten Drum Percussion Group moved in, the industrial site was repurposed as a cultural and creative park. Above the original factory buildings, the "Path to Heaven" was created. Visitors walk around a century-old banyan tree before reaching the rooftop, seven stories high. Strolling along it not only offers a bird’s-eye view of the Sanye River and the Tainan cityscape but also allows them to try the newly launched “Sugar Crystal Freefall.”

The related facilities are manufactured in the UK, and the fall protection and rescue equipment have obtained the highest EU safety certification. The Sugar Crystal Freefall opened today for trial runs, attracting visitors eager to build courage and challenge themselves.

For adults, the experience costs 399 NTD for entry plus 50 NTD per jump. There are restrictions: participants must weigh between 30 and 120 kilograms and be at least 10 years old.
