Fans who haven’t yet had a taste of the ultra-cute MOSCHINO teddy bear cookies are in luck. The “Fashion Highway” afternoon tea, a previous cross-brand collaboration between the second-floor Tea House at Grand Hyatt Taipei and MOSCHINO, has received rave reviews. Its collection of adorable desserts became a favorite among influencers looking to snap photos for social media. The hotel has decided to extend the limited-time collaboration until the 28th — fans eager to experience this mustn’t miss their last chance.

The “Fashion Highway” afternoon tea draws inspiration from MOSCHINO’s 2018 Pre-Fall Collection and a stylish road trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. With creative flair and expert craftsmanship from French executive chef Bastien Boyer of Grand Hyatt Taipei, the set includes a series of eye-catching sweets. For example, the replica mini handbag uses mascarpone cheese to mimic the texture of white leather, while a coffee jelly and cracker filling adds layers of flavor. Its miniaturized, hyper-realistic design is an absolute showstopper. The brand’s iconic MOSCHINO teddy bear is transformed into a teddy bear cookie, made with Parmesan biscuits that form the round face and ears. The rich savory flavor of the Parmesan cheese, paired with a hazelnut-flavored filling and layered with a crisp, sweet texture, makes this irresistibly cute bear a hit the moment it hits the table.

Road trip style elements also shine through in the desserts. Inspired by a flame-riding motorcyclist, the “Purple Flame” features a hazelnut tart built with layers of French Earl Grey chocolate cream, vanilla sponge cake, and blueberry jam. A purple mirrored dome tops the tart, encapsulating an Earl Grey cream filling, with gradient chocolate forming the shape of flickering flames, accented with pearl chocolates. This bold yet delicate creation is the epitome of fashionable indulgence.

Another standout, the “Pink Macaron,” combines macarons with a creative filling of beetroot cream and raspberry jam. Before eating, diners squeeze a dropper to release the raspberry sauce, resulting in an explosion of tangy sweetness — perfectly reflecting the brand’s playful and contrasting aesthetic, offering delightful surprises. Other treats include the “Salty Canelé,” which blends the classic teddy bear motif with a Playboy bunny twist, and the “Shining Stars” lemon cheese mousse adorned with neon light decorations. These imaginative and surprising desserts invite guests on a retro-inspired fashion road trip through a selection of exquisitely crafted sweets that are both delicious and whimsical.

The desserts aren’t the only highlight — the afternoon tea set also comes with an array of hearty savory snacks that are equally satisfying. Reflecting the Italian brand’s style, three specially crafted savory bites and appetizers are included: the crispy, rich “Italian Risotto Cheese Balls with Mushrooms,” the textured “Smoked Salmon with Yogurt Marinade,” and Sicily’s famous dessert, the “Cannoli,” featuring a crispy shell filled with sweet ricotta cheese and topped with Sicilian pistachios and chocolate chips for a crunchy, creamy taste that lingers. Guests can also explore nearly 20 varieties of Chinese and Western teas via a scent bottle service at the table, choosing their favorite brew.

The “Fashion Highway” duo afternoon tea set is priced at NT$1,680 + 10%. During the extended promotion period, every set ordered also comes with a NT$1,000 discount voucher for MOSCHINO’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection.
