New IG hotspot: Little Jade Watermelon House and Taiwan’s first department store farmers' market

The large-scale installation art and interactive performance event “2017 Green Circle Free Sound” was held from July 17 to September 4. In addition to being a new photogenic highlight on Shin-Mei Green Boulevard, the Shin-Mei Living Mall also features highly Instagrammable installation art and new landmarks. There are various Little Jade Watermelon-themed designs, including the Little Jade Watermelon House in the outdoor plaza, the wall design in the first-floor lobby, and the watermelon spiral staircase on B1.

In addition, the Shin-Mei Living Mall has created a brand-new type of traditional market – “The Sixth Market,” Taiwan’s first farmers' market located inside a department store. It preserves the ambiance and human touch of a traditional market while incorporating modern spatial design and hardware facilities, ensuring vendors are no longer at the mercy of the weather. The market is currently in the leasing and preparation phase and will begin trial operations in mid-September.
