Taiwan’s Only Floating Library – A New Photo Spot at Water Central

Buildings that seem to float on water always attract many photography enthusiasts and tourists eager to take pictures. Beautiful libraries are no longer just places to gain knowledge but can also become popular photo spots. Kaohsiung’s Jinshi Lake Library is built on Jinshi Lake, featuring beautiful lake views during the day and glittering neon lights at night.

The library is located on the eastern side of Jinshi Lake. Its two-story light green building stands like a stilt house on the lake, standing out brightly and complementing the majestic Fudingjin Bao’an Temple nearby.

Jinshi Lake is one of the storage ponds located at the upper source of the Love River in Kaohsiung City. It is surrounded by Shitou Mountain Park, the Butterfly Ecological Museum, Daodeyuan, and Bao’an Temple. During the day, the lush greenery and beautiful lake scenery create a picturesque setting, while at night, the shimmering light bridge adds to the charm. Its diverse features make it an ideal spot for family outings and sightseeing.
