Right Hand Restaurant
For those who love Thai food, it’s often hard to just go and eat whenever you want, as most Thai restaurants in Taiwan operate on an à la carte basis, making it not very cost-effective to dine alone. The owner of the well-known American-style restaurant Second Floor also loves good food, and based on the shared experiences of many friends and their own, decided to open “Right Hand,” a new-style Thai set meal restaurant. Each set includes classic Thai soup, traditional Thai appetizers, signature side dishes, classic salads, and jasmine rice — so you can fully enjoy Thai cuisine even on your own.

At the restaurant’s launch, there were nine menu items: Spicy Stir-Fried 12-Turn Tacos Pork, Thai Spicy-Sesame Chicken Square, Handmade Green Curry Coconut Chicken, Pad Thai Fried Rice, Classic Lemon Steamed Perch, Southern Thai Curry Chicken, Roll It Up!! Squid Pattaya Fried Rice, Thai-Style Iron Plate Beef, and Tamarind-Crusted Spicy Catfish. Prices range between NT$280 and NT$395. These nine dishes cover the flavors of Northern, Central, and Southern Thailand.

Shi Tang – Ultra Wagyu Stone Grill
“Shi Tang – Ultra Wagyu Stone Grill” is all about Taiwan’s only miniaturized Korean BBQ experience, with grills specially custom-molded so you can enjoy it solo. The meats are also meticulously selected — you can try American Wagyu, Iberico pork, and even perfectly round grilled meatballs, plus a specially designed exhaust hood. Coupled with the thoughtfully renovated heritage space, it’s truly one of the most unique new spots around. If you’re in Tainan and love Korean BBQ, don’t miss this place. (Text by mimi Korean)

Oh! My Stone
Oh ! My Stone uses high-temperature black stone cast iron to directly sear hand-formed burger patties into spheres, offering a brand-new fusion of BBQ and stone-grilled experiences, allowing customers to enjoy DIY fun. The shop uses premium U.S. Choice beef to make the ground meat, which is then hand-shaped into perfect spheres by skilled chefs — just the right satisfying portion, paired with exclusive seasonings. The meatballs and other ingredients are served on regular iron plates, but the highlight is the 500°C heated black stone cast iron — you place the meat directly on it to grill. One sphere can cook one meatball at a time, and if it cools down, you can ask the staff for a freshly heated replacement.
