Following the Crescent Moon Bridge, the Starlight Bridge is a new river-crossing landscape bridge built by New Taipei City Government for pedestrians and cyclists. Toward the end of summer, the New Taipei City Water Resources Bureau and Lamigo Namiiko Banquet Plaza co-hosted the "New Taipei Starlight Bridge Music Party" to promote local waterfront culture and offer the public a high-quality outdoor concert experience on summer nights. The event made its dazzling debut at 5:30 p.m. on September 9 at the Xizhi Starlight Bridge.

The event featured performances by "Good Friends," the "Kiwi" Chinese Orchestra, and the "Soochow University Department of Chinese Literature Choir" (SCCL CHOIR), all arranged by Lamigo. From classic hits and Taiwanese folk songs to pop music, the performances immersed the weekend crowd in beautiful melodies while also illuminating Xizhi’s iconic landmark — the shiniest microphone around.
Since its official opening, the Starlight Bridge not only connects New Taipei City’s riverside bike paths but also integrates regional cultural elements and landscape ecology to provide a more comfortable and diverse leisure space, thereby boosting the development of surrounding communities. At night, when viewed from afar, the Starlight Bridge stands out as a dazzling, glowing microphone, quickly becoming a new popular photo spot for visitors.
This year, one of the co-organizers, Namiiko Banquet Plaza, operates the "Lamigo Chinese Orchestra," which currently has over ninety members. The ensemble includes music school graduates, professional musicians, and elite traditional Chinese music players from various school clubs — all seasoned winners of music competitions. The Lamigo Chinese Orchestra was founded with the mission of nurturing young talent, offering a richer variety of performance opportunities, and using diverse performance formats to promote traditional Chinese music, setting an example and encouraging private enterprises to support the art form.

To enrich the concert experience and encourage a picnic atmosphere, the New Taipei City Water Resources Bureau also invited local Xizhi shops to sponsor red turtle cakes | along with uniquely aromatic local coffee, ensuring that the event offered not just music but also local flavors. The venue was packed with families enjoying delicious food, lively conversation, and delightful music, creating a heartwarming and memorable night.
