The most beautiful Dolang Station has temporarily closed its observation deck – here’s the renovation update

Located in Taimali and hailed as the most beautiful train station, “Dolang Station” boasts expansive sea views, with its iconic red railings on the platform, making it a favorite among railway enthusiasts and tourists. The Taitung County Government, in consideration of safety and to enhance the quality of tourism, has decided to carry out recreational facility improvement works from October 1 to December 31. During this period, the station’s observation deck and surrounding recreational facilities will be temporarily closed.

This facility improvement project is subsidized under a key work plan by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications. It primarily focuses on upgrading entrance facilities and creating a barrier-free, visitor-friendly environment, including the construction of new public restrooms, parking and resting areas, as well as enhancing the overall functionality of other related basic services, shaping a clean and locally distinctive landscape.
