The 3rd Waterfront Arts Festival is set to kick off on October 7, 2017, and will run continuously throughout the month until October 29. With up to 15 groups of art performances and creative exhibitions invited, it offers visitors a chance to fully immerse themselves in all forms of artistic life and experience the local cultural vibe of Tainan. This year’s Tainan Waterfront Arts Festival is conceptualized around "Water · Life," transforming all lifestyles onto the water and envisioning people living with water as their home, giving rise to different states of life and new living forms.

The Waterfront Arts Festival is planned by a local civilian curatorial team, aiming to reshape the urban landscape of Tainan’s riverside through public art installations along the water. Modeled after an "Earth Art Festival," it seeks to revitalize the local area around Tainan Canal, showcasing the diverse facets of culture and hoping to embed artistic experiences in everyone’s heart. This month-long festival will collaborate with local artists to set up numerous large-scale installations, allowing visitors to take photos and create memories freely. Each artistic setting combines with its ambiance to let everyone feel the local culture.
