Like a giant jigsaw puzzle of the earth, the Waixi Joy Valley scenic spot features vast rice fields that rival those in eastern and central Taiwan, making it a popular check-in spot in recent years. In this boundless farmland, there is a striking abandoned school bus, which was placed in the center of the field last November by the film production crew. It became an overnight sensation, attracting large crowds of visitors who damaged the site, prompting the film company to cover the bus with a black cloth. Recently, the bus has made a comeback, now featuring an added observation deck, turning it into a new hot topic destination.

The beauty of the crisscrossing fields in Joy Valley — standing on the lightning-like country path feels like walking an endless heavenly road, making it a hidden gem for photography in Taichung. Although you can't see the golden ears of rice drooping, the vast green landscape is incredibly soothing. The new highlight, the Joyful Bus, is currently not open to entry, and visitors are urged not to trespass.
