Located in Tainan’s West Central District, “Hexing Hao Fresh Fish Soup” has shifted from being a conventional fish soup eatery to a trendy, youth-oriented style shop. With Japanese-style curtains and warm-toned wooden elements, it feels like stepping into a café, yet what’s served inside is a beloved taste that’s been around in Tainan for over 10 years.

Owner Madam Wang, an excellent cook, and her husband had been selling fresh fish soup on Park Road for over 10 years. Later, inspired by their son’s idea for a revamp, they closed the fish soup shop and focused on running “Xiaoman Canteen” on Zhengxing Street. Three years later, the couple decided to start anew — renaming their original “? fish soup” shop to “Hexing Hao Fresh Fish Soup,” reigniting the passion of food aficionados who’d sorely missed it.
