The 2017 Tainan Food Festival combines the popular real-life mystery game “The Mystery Begins After the Meal.” At 10:00 AM on October 21, the event launched grandly at the Tainan Cultural and Creative Park, drawing over 200 food detectives to Tainan to uncover the secrets behind delicious cuisine and embark on an in-depth culinary culture journey. On the first day of the event, multiple groups of participants successfully completed the challenge and won a variety of prizes.

This year’s “The Mystery Begins After the Meal” real-life game centers around “market cuisine.” Participants must use the clues provided to deduce answers and actually visit markets and related food shops to crack the final mystery. Drawing inspiration from the characteristics and historical development of Tainan’s local dishes, the game allows players not only to savor delicious food but also to learn about the food culture behind each dish. Beyond offering fun through playing and eating, it also encourages photo ops, ensuring that all attendees have a blast.

The Tainan Food Festival has entered its seventh edition this year, with the real-life game being held for the second time.
