Now, there’s no need to envy Japan — Muji Taiwan will officially launch the “MUJI RENOVATION Space Renovation Project” service on November 1 this year, allowing you to bring a genuine Muji-inspired space directly into your home.

MUJI, well-known to many, first introduced its “Furniture Arrangement Consulting Service” in 2013. By visiting customers’ homes and understanding their living environments, the service helped them plan furniture layouts and optimize movement within their space. It also revealed a common Taiwanese habit of filling every corner of the home, often without considering factors like flow, storage convenience, or future adaptability. To address these concerns and improve spatial design, MUJI launched the “MUJI RENOVATION Space Renovation Project” to offer people who appreciate minimalist design an enhanced living environment.

This edition of the “MUJI RENOVATION Space Renovation Project” emphasizes creating a living space that “grows together with the family.” Addressing the challenges that come with changes in household size and evolving needs in Taiwan, the project is built around the concept of “people” as the foundation. Without altering the floor area, it enables flexible partitioning and movable furniture, presenting various proposals for designing spaces such as the entryway, living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, and balcony. It also offers tailored designs based on the number of residents and remains adaptable to changes in household size.

MUJI emphasizes that transforming a living space doesn’t necessarily mean tearing down and rebuilding or moving houses. Revitalizing your existing space through renovation is another way to breathe new life into it, helping your home grow along with your family and lifestyle. Starting November 1 this year, select Muji stores will offer the chance to create your very own “Muji-style living space.” The first ten participants in the project will receive a NT$50,000 furniture shopping voucher from Muji.
