World’s Secret Wonders: Two Taiwanese Attractions Make the List

Taiwan’s attractions are full of character and diversity, with many that can be called world-class wonders, attracting visitors from abroad. Recently, an internationally renowned travel guide selected several hidden wonder sites around the globe worth exploring, among which Taichung’s Rainbow Village and Yilan’s Mushroom Baby Museum are the only two Taiwanese sites to make the list.

Located in Nantun District, Taichung, Rainbow Village has become a popular tourist spot in recent years, attracting millions of domestic and international visitors. What was once an abandoned small village has been transformed into a surprising tourist destination under the skilled hands of “Rainbow Grandpa.” This is yet another international recognition following its selection as one of the must-visit spots on Instagram by a UK travel website and as one of the most photogenic destinations desired by Japanese netizens.

The Mushroom Baby Museum in Yilan City was jointly planned and established by Baining Biotechnology along with a group of microbiology experts from Taiwan and the United States. The museum offers comprehensive and rich knowledge about fungi and boasts two world-firsts: a 3,500-year-old carved piece of Antrodia cinnamomea, and the cultivation technology of Antrodia cinnamomea fruiting bodies.
