Fushoushan Farm hit by sudden freeze, up to 10 cm of snow reported

On the morning of the 10th, Fushoushan Farm was blanketed in thick snow, with the highest accumulation reaching 10 cm at Tianchi (Heavenly Lake), the farm’s highest point. Snowfall of around 5 cm was also recorded in the tea plantation and camping area. Current temperatures range between -1°C and 0°C, with the snow gradually starting to melt. Guests staying on-site were thrilled to find the farm transformed into a wintry northern landscape overnight, and many headed out to enjoy the snowy scenery. Some children braved the cold and happily played in the snow.

Super cold alert: A staff member from Fushoushan Farm's fan page went live in the early morning, announcing the arrival of a rare snowfall with a shaky voice. The snow, mixed with more sleet than flake, accumulated to about 5 cm on the ground. Camping areas were covered in a layer of white, but no guests had stayed overnight. At an altitude of 2,580 meters, Tianchi accumulated up to 10 cm of snow. As the sun rose, temperatures fluctuated between -1°C and 0°C, and the snow began to melt slowly.

Farm staff reported that as of the early morning, snow accumulation in Tianchi, the camping area, and the tea plantation reached approximately 5 to 10 cm. Due to not being cold enough, the ponds have not yet frozen. Fruit trees and tea bushes have all been harvested and pruned, and are currently dormant — meaning the snowfall has had minimal impact on cash crops.
