Chiayi’s New Hotspot: Taiping Cloud Ladder Opens Online Ticket Booking – Must-Know Before You Climb

The “Taiping Cloud Ladder” in Meishan Township, Chiayi County — the longest scenic suspension bridge in the country — will start allowing visitors to purchase same-day tickets online via the “Taiping Cloud Ladder Ticketing System” on the day of their visit starting November 1. This means those who haven’t made advance reservations can still visit and enjoy the view.

Since its official opening on September 23, the Taiping Cloud Ladder has maintained a high-quality recreational experience by limiting visitor numbers and using a time-slot reservation system. In its first month, over 50,000 visitors have come to the Cloud Ladder. However, many were unable to climb due to not making prior reservations and finding out that same-day ticket sales weren’t available, leading to disappointment. To enhance the visiting experience, starting November 1, the Taiping Cloud Ladder will offer same-day ticket sales on its “Taiping Cloud Ladder Ticketing System” website. Visitors who haven’t bought tickets on-site can still go online to make a purchase using a credit card during available time slots, granting them access to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Chiayi-Pingtung Plain.

However, time-slot quotas are limited each day, and availability on the day is not guaranteed. The earliest you can book is 30 days before your intended visit date, and you can even reserve and pick up your tickets at the convenience store multimedia kiosk “ibon.” Don’t miss out on this amazing experience!
