Every year, as Christmas approaches, many Christmas-related events in Japan begin one after another. The ever-popular Shiodome Caretta Christmas Light Show has also recently announced its lighting schedule. This year, in addition to featuring the signature blue light sea, it has also incorporated elements from Disney’s classic animated film “Beauty and the Beast,” adding a romantic fairy-tale atmosphere to the holiday season.

This year, Shiodome Caretta takes “Caretta Illumination 2017~The Story of True Love~” as its theme, incorporating fairy-tale elements from “Beauty and the Beast.” In addition to the usual dreamy blue lights, yellow beacon lights representing Princess Belle have been added. The entire venue will be transformed into the movie’s grand hall, complete with the film’s iconic red rose, rose-covered walls, and lavish costumes.
