The most picturesque postcard views are all here on Alishan’s five hidden trail gems

The Dingshizhuo Trail Cluster is located near Shizhuo along the Alishan Highway. The Alishan Forest Recreation Area Administration has refurbished and extended existing trails to launch five new routes: Mist Trail, Tea Trail, Cloud Trail, Sunset Glow Trail, and Cherry Blossom Trail. Together with connecting forest roads, the total distance is about 5 kilometers, with an elevation ranging from 1,370 to 1,699 meters, and the hike takes approximately two hours.

In addition to admiring the beauty of tea plantations, the Dingshizhuo Trail Cluster is also a must-visit hidden gem along the Alishan Highway. These five trails each have their own unique features, offering stunning views of mist, clouds, sunset glows, tea fields, cedar forests, and bamboo groves. Walking through the bamboo woods gives visitors the illusion of being in Kyoto’s Arashiyama, leaving hikers amazed.
