New Pink Dream Christmas Attraction: Chibi Maruko-chan & Hello Kitty Here

The romantic and heartwarming Christmas season is coming again, and festive decorations are popping up all over Taiwan. Following the Christmas Village at Tainan Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Store, Taichung Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Zhonggang Store has now unveiled the “Chibi Maruko-chan x Hello Kitty Christmas Dream Fantasyland,” bringing together Japan’s super-popular Chibi Maruko-chan and Hello Kitty to create Taiwan’s only sweet-themed fantasy wonderland. The pink-hued installations have attracted many netizens to come for photos.

This year, the Christmas decorations at Taichung Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Zhonggang Store feature six of the most adorable photo spots, including the pink-sweet “Best Friends’ Gingerbread House,” “Sweet Spinning Coffee Cups,” “Dream-Come-True Hot Air Balloon,” “Christmas Starry Sky Tunnel,” “Cozy Cabin Time,” and “Joyful Moments in the Park.” Among them, the starry sky tunnel is the longest in central Taiwan, with 10,000 LED lights—just look up while walking through to enjoy a beautiful starry sky.

In addition to the many romantic and photogenic installations, there will be a series of events and performances all the way up to Christmas Eve. Visitors heading to central Taiwan are encouraged to stop by for some photos.
