On November 30, the northeastern monsoon strengthens again, bringing gradually cooler weather to the north and northeast, with cool mornings and evenings in other regions as well. Watch for temperature differences between day and night and dress warmly. The north and eastern half of the island will see brief showers, while the central and southern mountainous areas will also have localized light rain; other areas will be mostly cloudy. Entering December this weekend, northern Miaoli and the eastern half of the island will experience rainy weather, with temperatures around 20°C. Those planning outdoor trips this weekend should carry rain gear. Central and southern counties and cities will be mostly cloudy, with temperatures around 24°C. The Kaohsiung-Pingtung area could see maximum temperatures of 28–29°C.
