Last year, Gontran Chérrier (GC) officially launched operations in Taiwan. Not only was it selected by The Wall Street Journal as one of the best croissants in Paris, but its first store in Taiwan also became hugely popular. This year, after opening its second branch at Taipei’s Dayeh Takashimaya in Banqiao, on November 24, its third branch finally set up shop at CITYLINK Songshan Station, drawing much attention.

Unlike ordinary bakeries, GC’s Songshan store features a spacious area for customers to relax and enjoy their food. Its location near a metro station also provides a convenient option for busy commuters.

To celebrate the opening of its third store, GC has introduced three new flavors of its popular croissants. The “Croquinno” features GC’s signature plain croissant filled with fresh vegetables, fish, and meat, then pressed to create a uniquely crispy texture achievable only with GC’s croissants — definitely something to look forward to. The “Black Sesame Croissant” is stuffed with rich black sesame filling, offering a dense flavor. Meanwhile, the whole wheat croissant, promoting a healthy high-fiber concept, is the perfect choice for those who focus on wellness. Additionally, the fruit-filled croissants that were hugely popular and well-received last winter — including strawberry and apple croissants — have made a seasonal comeback.
