A ghostly scene hides in the countryside as snow-white buckwheat flowers bloom quietly

The romantic buckwheat flower field scene from the Korean drama "Goblin" is one of the must-visit spots for many K-drama fans. Standing amidst the vast expanse of snow-white blossoms feels like stepping into heaven. And in the countryside of Erlin, Changhua, there is also a similarly vast buckwheat field currently in full bloom. The snow-white, radiant sea of flowers resembles a snowfall, creating a northern atmosphere that attracts many visitors to stop and admire or take photos.

December is the season when buckwheat blooms and seeds. Along both sides of Rulin Road in Xiangtianli, heading from Erlin, the landscape is covered with buckwheat flowers that look like snowflakes—exceedingly picturesque and romantic. Vast buckwheat fields are quite rare in Taiwan, with large-scale cultivation currently found only in Erlin, Changhua; Jiali, Tainan; and Shoufeng, Hualien.

After admiring the vast expanse of snow-white buckwheat fields, you can also see rows of bottlebrush trees nearby, which are currently in vibrant bloom.
