New Year’s Eve 2018 Highlight: Bangkok’s World-Class Skyscraper Debuts First 3D Light Projection Show

Bangkok’s iconic landmark, Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard, is located in the city’s commercial hub of Ratchaprasong. Not only does it occupy a vast area and rise 60 stories high, but its exterior design is also highly distinctive—spectacular like spinning petals—and just a 10-minute drive from the famous Thai landmark, the Erawan Shrine. It is hailed as Thailand’s most luxurious condominium. To mark the arrival of 2018, from now until December 31st, Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard will hold a special 15-day 3D light projection show, counting down to the New Year together with all of Bangkok.

For this event, Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard has collaborated with the Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association (RSTA) and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), inviting world-class stage lighting artists and production teams to design a show that transforms the 60-story skyscraper into the largest projection canvas ever used in Thailand’s first large-scale 3D light projection display. The news has not only attracted attention across Thailand but also generated excitement among international travelers who love visiting Thailand.

In addition, the much-anticipated Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard light show will also host a photography competition. Participants can win a prize of 100,000 Thai baht by submitting photos themed “Beautiful Ratchaprasong” or “Beautiful Magnolias.”
