As cold air sweeps across Taiwan, bald cypresses have begun to turn red one after another. In addition to well-known bald cypress spots in Taoyuan, Yilan, and Hualien, there is also a postcard-perfect hidden bald cypress park in downtown Taipei. Located near the National Palace Museum, the "Indigenous Culture Theme Park" features vast lush green lawns and lakesides surrounded by more than 10 bald cypress trees. The gradient of red, yellow, and green hues makes it feel as though you’ve stepped into an oil painting.

The Indigenous Culture Theme Park is the first park in the country themed around indigenous culture. The park abstractly presents indigenous styles and imagery, taking inspiration from Vancouver’s Stanley Park. In front of the performance plaza, there is a marble gate sculpture and two giant log totem poles.
