Tamsui is not only known for its stunning sunsets; at night, it dazzles with romantic twinkling lights. Adorned with these radiant illuminations, the Tamsui Customs Wharf transforms in winter. The “2017 Tamsui Customs Wharf Light Sea Festival,” running from now until January 7, 2018, features elements such as public art exhibitions, small-scale farmers' creative markets, and artistic performances. Combining Tamsui’s local cultural charm and history, the Customs Wharf is reborn as a new destination for a heartwarming and love-filled cultural light trip, reviving the former glory of the wharf in its heyday.

The first wave of the “2017 Tamsui Customs Wharf Light Sea Festival,” titled “Glimpses of Time – Fleeting Moments Between Mountain and Sea,” is a public art exhibition that invites renowned artists to create brand-new art installations tailored to Tamsui’s distinctive natural landscapes and cultural history.
