Taitung has another free attraction—the “Guanshan Qingshui Park” in Taitung—has been open to the public free of charge since 2018. Visitors no longer need to pay an admission or cleaning fee when they want to take photos or go for a stroll. The park has an approximately 800-meter-long strip-shaped artificial lake, surrounded by lawns and shaded by lush trees, providing a secluded habitat for various wild birds living in the lake. It is an ideal spot for visitors to observe wildlife and fish swimming in the water. Climbing up to the tall observation deck offers a panoramic view of the pastoral scenery of Guanshan Township.
