Located in the Southern Hemisphere, Western Australia spans over 2.5 million square kilometers, accounting for one-third of Australia’s land area. Its vast landscapes, diverse wildlife, and stunning scenery captivate travelers. Here, you can soak up the sun on the beaches, cruise the seas, go road-tripping across the expansive land, or hike through pristine forests. There's no shortage of activities for every adventure—whether it's hitting the mountains or the ocean. Among them, the most romantic experience is taking a helicopter ride to admire the Pink Lakes of Western Australia from a god’s-eye view.

The world’s beautiful pink lakes are simply enchanting. In Western Australia, there are two renowned pink lakes—one located in Geraldton on the Coral Coast, and the other in Esperance in the Goldfields region. These two pink lakes each have their own unique charm. Visitors can take small planes to admire the full view from the air while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of coral reefs and coastlines along the way.

▲ Take a helicopter to admire the spectacular view of the beautiful Pink Lake, Hutt Lagoon.

Hutt Lagoon in Geraldton stretches 14 kilometers in length and 2.3 kilometers in width, displaying a dreamy pink hue due to its rich algae and high salinity. Adjacent to Hutt Lagoon is the Abrolhos Islands, consisting of 122 small islands spread across 100 kilometers, home to stunning coral reefs. Air tours often combine visits to both the Pink Lake and the Abrolhos Islands, allowing travelers to enjoy two wonders in one flight—the striking contrast between the pink lake waters and the blue sea is absolutely mesmerizing.

The other pink lake, Lake Hillier in Esperance, is 600 meters long and 250 meters wide, and is uniquely shaped like a giant footprint—earning it the nickname "God’s Footprint." Unlike Hutt Lagoon, Lake Hillier can only be viewed by air. Boarding a small plane and flying along the coastline, the pink lake gradually comes into view. Depending on the angle and altitude of the flight, the lake presents different views, shifting in shades of pink under the sunlight—from soft pastels to deep hues—creating an absolutely stunning spectacle.
