EVA Air’s “Welcome Aboard, Let’s Fly Happily Together” Painted Plane Carnival took place at Xinyi District’s Shinyi Square from April 14–16. On the 15th, an unprecedentedly grand fantasy-themed parade was specially held, featuring EVA flight attendants joining forces with six of Sanrio’s most popular characters—Hello Kitty, Daniel, Cool Guy, KiKi LaLa, and My Melody—who made a dynamic entrance. They delivered an energetic and captivating dance performance, attracting large crowds to various painted plane experience booths to take part in activities such as kimono dressing, origami, and painting. The atmosphere was lively, filled with non-stop laughter.

The event site featured four painted plane experience pavilions themed around the newly decorated “Outing Plane,” “Dream Plane,” “Party Plane,” and “Friendship Plane,” highlighting the characteristics of their respective destinations. At the “Outing Plane” pavilion, set against the backdrop of Seoul Tower—one of Korea’s famous landmarks—the charm of Korean pop culture was on full display, putting fans’ K-drama knowledge to the test. In the cherry blossom-filled “Dream Plane” pavilion, fans took turns trying on kimonos and experiencing the beauty of Japanese origami art. The “Party Plane” pavilion, adorned with super-cute traditional Chinese window patterns, showcased the timeless elegance of classic oil-paper umbrellas. Meanwhile, the “Friendship Plane” pavilion, designed with a Japanese shrine aesthetic, attracted families, couples, and many others who wrote warm wishes on adorable airplane-shaped wish tags.

In addition, the supersized themed balloons led playfully by Hello Kitty flight attendants and Captain Daniel were a must-see highlight of the EVA Air Painted Plane Carnival. Crowds flocked to take photos and share them on Facebook, and those who checked in could receive cute themed postcards. Moreover, after completing experiences in each zone, participants could get exclusive stamps to redeem limited-edition EVA Air gifts such as special balloons and painted plane L-shaped clips. Of course, there was also the highly anticipated grand prize of airline tickets. By simply becoming an EVA Air million-fan member through easy steps, people had the chance to win round-trip tickets aboard EVA Air’s four new themed painted planes, plane models, and themed EasyCards.
