Spring also offers the seasonal charm of mountain-wide crimson leaves！Located in the Shilin mountain area of Taipei, Taipei Aowanda is not only a great spot for autumn foliage but also welcomes a wave of springtime red leaves starting every April. Around early April each year, the maple trees at Taipei Aowanda gradually begin to turn red, creating an alternative spring maple viewing season. However, due to climate changes this year with colder weather lasting longer, the small maple leaves in the park have only recently started to turn red, marking the official start of the viewing season. Currently, about 60-70% of the leaves in the park have turned red, and the rare and stunning scenery of mountainsides blending green, yellow, orange, and red is truly breathtaking.

Taipei Aowanda is renowned across northern Taiwan for its European-style garden landscaping. The park is especially beautiful in spring and autumn when it’s covered in crimson leaves, and has even been described as “no need to go abroad for maple viewing.” Maple enthusiasts no longer need to travel all the way to Canada or Japan. The park also features many installations and cafes where you can enjoy mountain views, making it a great weekend getaway for relaxation and sightseeing.
