Newly opened food truck in Tainan: Bursting filling egg tarts wrapped in kraft paper and jute ropes

Afternoon tea snacks are back up~ Lately, it seems I’ve been having this kind of snack quite often. That day after lunch, as I was passing by Xiaodong Park on my way back to the office, the eagle-eyed Fifty Mei immediately pointed out, “Hey hey, there’s a little food truck over there~ I wonder what they’re selling, and it’s orange-ish, kinda cute!” Right away—let’s turn back, I wanna see it XD

The first time I turned around, I even asked what they were selling. Ahhhhh!!! Their eyes are so big—they actually wrote “egg tarts” right there. I walked away again~~~ Then immediately scrolled through their shop’s fan page. Eh eh, let’s turn back, I wanna buy!! This is totally my kind of thing!!

Let’s check out the flavors!! That chicken is super cute!!!! I really want one. Each color represents a different flavor—for example, the Oreo one is all blackish. There are six flavors, priced between NT$35–55, with five pieces per order and no mixing allowed!! I heard they just opened recently, so it’s a new spot!!

The egg tarts are baked to order. If there are many people, the wait time might be longer too!! Otherwise, normally it takes about 5–10 minutes.

Ahhhhh!!! Darn it!! I got attracted by the packaging again!! It feels so cute!! I didn’t originally plan to write about this, but after getting it, I felt the packaging was kinda adorable, and the truck is kinda cute too. Alright~ I’ll just jot it down simply with my phone, so today’s photos are from my phone.

There’s also the shop’s logo stamp on the kraft paper bag—it’s cute too!! It’s tied with jute rope for easy carrying, which is also more eco-friendly than using plastic bags. I think that’s pretty nice. The hot egg tarts are right inside Up~ Come take a look quickly!!

Once you unwrap it, there’s quite a lot of filling!! There’s a bursting feeling too~ The freshly baked egg tart filling is a bit hot, so be careful not to burn your mouth. The taste is crispy on the edges—it has the texture of a crispy crust egg tart. The chocolate filling isn’t overly sweet or greasy, with a slight bitterness and aroma. I personally think it’s pretty good. It’s not as crispy once it cools down, but it’s still not bad~ Friends who are interested can go try it Up~ Haha, could this become the next IG check-in hotspot?
