Dreaming of becoming a flight attendant? AirAsia holds its first recruitment drive for Taiwanese cabin crew – anyone aged 18 or above is welcome to apply

This year (2012), several low-cost airlines have entered the Taiwanese market. AirAsia, a leading airline specializing in Asian routes, and its long-haul subsidiary AirAsia X (which focuses on flights over four hours), aim to further expand their presence in Taiwan. From November 30 to February 1, they will recruit Taiwanese cabin crew in Taiwan. As long as you are at least 18 years old and fluent in both Chinese and English, you could become an AirAsia flight attendant.

Since entering the Taiwanese market, AirAsia X has maintained an average passenger load factor of over 80% on the Taipei-Kuala Lumpur route. In addition, the new Taipei-Clark (Philippines) route is set to launch its maiden flight on December 16. To provide Taiwanese customers with more attentive service, AirAsia has become the first low-cost carrier to actively recruit Taiwanese cabin crew in large numbers. Fadzliah Binti Haji Kamaruddin, Human Resources Manager at AirAsia X, said: “Taiwan has always been a very important market for us, and we truly admire the vibrant, friendly, kind, and highly service-oriented nature of Taiwanese talent.”

The renowned “All Stars” culture of the AirAsia Group emphasizes that employees are a vital asset to the company, which is why its workforce comes from all over the world. For this Taiwan recruitment drive, applicants need only be at least 18 years old, fluent in Chinese and English, hold a high school diploma or vocational school degree, and possess good interpersonal skills. Those who submit their résumés in person at the VIP Lounge on the second floor of the Dynasty Hotel between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM on November 30 will be considered for positions based in Kuala Lumpur as AirAsia cabin crew. However, applicants are reminded to wear formal attire on the day of the selection event and to bring their résumé, cover letter, passport copy, full-body photo, and headshot.
