Stretching tens of thousands of miles from east to west, it is also known as the "Ten Thousand Li Wall." The existing remains of the Great Wall mainly consist of those built during the Ming Dynasty in the 14th century, extending from Jiayuguan in the west to Hushan Mountain in the east. The sites span 15 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions including Beijing, Tianjin, Qinghai, Shandong, and Inner Mongolia, encompassing a total of 43,721 heritage sections of the Great Wall.
