The hotel launches a Family Day: Enjoy classic and fun children's theater performances and indulge in poolside light meals.

The Regent Taipei, which has been consistently supporting local art, incorporates works by domestic art and design creators in everything from its architectural design to interior furnishings. Artworks by local artists can be found on every floor of the hotel, even in the parking lot. On the 20th, the hotel will further extend its cultural reach into the realm of children’s theater by inviting the renowned domestic performing arts group "Nine Clouds Children's Theater Troupe" to stage the classic piece "Potato and Green Bean," a treasured creation from its 30-year repertoire.

The "Nine Clouds Children's Theater Troupe," the largest and most established children's theater group in Taiwan, was founded in 1987. The children's play "Potato and Green Bean," which they will present at The Regent Taipei’s banquet hall, is a collaborative work from 1990 with Austria’s Trittbrettl Theatre. This play is not only one of the troupe’s classic productions but also the first "hand puppet" children’s play in Taiwan’s history.

In the story, Potato and Green Bean are two neighbors with completely different interests. Green Bean is very active, enjoys watching videos and playing video games, while Potato loves fishing, playing the flute, and baking cakes. The two quarrel every day, but the puppeteers will try to help them become friends. The performance features both live actors and hand puppets, delivering a lighthearted, humorous, and educational storyline that reflects everyday social interactions. The entertaining show captivates children’s attention, allowing them to learn through play, and after the performance, kids can take photos with the main characters.

In addition to the show, attendees can use their entry tickets to visit the Cocoon Poolside Bar for a complimentary light meal buffet lunch. The spread includes flavorful pasta, cod fish sticks with tartar sauce, as well as kids’ favorites like crispy chicken nuggets and fries. There will also be a colorful selection of signature desserts from The Regent Taipei’s pastry kitchen, such as macarons and madeleines. The ticket price for "Gourmet Art at The Regent – Nine Clouds Children's Theater" is NT$620 for adults, NT$420 for children aged 7 to 12, and NT$250 for children under 6. Groups of 30 or more enjoy a 15% discount, and groups of 50 or more enjoy a 20% discount.
