New travel option now available – AirAsia’s maiden flight from Taipei to Clark

Starting today, Taiwanese travelers have a new travel option. The first AirAsia (Asia Air) flight departing from Clark in the Philippines landed at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport at 2:27 p.m. yesterday (the 17th). A special water cannon salute was arranged at Taoyuan Airport to welcome the passengers of this inaugural flight. Taiwanese travelers now have another travel choice to explore the stunning natural beauty of the Philippines.

Maan Hontiveros, CEO of AirAsia Philippines, said: “The launch of the Taipei-Clark route brings Taiwan and the Philippines even closer together. What the Philippines treasures most are its numerous natural islands and unspoiled natural beauty. Travelers from Taipei, upon arriving in Clark, can not only explore the local area but also take other transportation to reach famous Philippine tourist destinations such as Kalibo (to Boracay) and Davao.”

Starting today, AirAsia’s new Taipei–Philippines route. Flights depart from Clark every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 12:05 p.m., arriving at Taoyuan International Airport at 2:05 p.m.; return flights leave Taoyuan International Airport at 2:30 p.m. and arrive back in Clark at 4:20 p.m. However, please note that as a low-cost airline, AirAsia requires passengers to pay extra for meals and baggage when purchasing tickets, so travelers should pay special attention when booking.
