“Dementors” soar over Universal Studios Japan at night—Harry Potter fans, this is a must-see!

Stepping into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Japan feels just like entering the magical scenes from the movies—it’s hard to tell where reality ends and fantasy begins. Since its opening, it has attracted a huge number of fans from all over the world. Located in Osaka, Universal Studios Japan is the first and only theme park in Asia to feature The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. To extend the magic from day to night, the park launched an impressive nighttime show starting April 21. The spectacular light projection magic show completely captivates the audience.

If J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, is the spiritual guide who leads everyone into the magical world, then Universal Studios is the one that brings the world of Hogwarts to life. In 2017, Universal Studios Japan will be themed around “More Excitement, No Limits,” offering visitors even more surprises and emotional moments in the magical realm. Starting in April, various new magical experiences will debut in Hogsmeade. Grab your wand, recite your spells, and get ready to be amazed.

The highlight of this spring is this unprecedented large-scale “Harry Potter Nighttime Show.” The intricate light projections on Hogwarts Castle blur the line between reality and dream, making the whole park feel like a magical stage. A chilling presence freezes the Black Lake as the soul-sucking “Dementors” from the films approach from afar, hovering above the dark sky. The audience is thrilled, their hearts racing along with the performances of protagonists like Harry and Hermione. This limited-time nighttime show is absolutely mind-blowing with no dull moments, delivering a spectacular performance worth every penny.
