Taiwan's version of "Flower Sightseeing Frontline" – Get all the info on blooming flowers on Yangmingshan

The Taipei City Government has launched the “Taipei New Blossom—Flower Viewing Info Unveiled” website, which not only provides a convenient map for flower-viewing outings, but also offers information on flower species and blooming periods. Flower enthusiasts might want to refer to this powerful “Taipei Flower Frontier” guide and plan a flower-viewing trip during the Spring Festival.

The “Taipei New Blossom” website includes “Taipei Real-Time Flower Viewing Information,” which gathers information on sizable flower blooms across the city, including administrative district/location, flower type, coverage and quantity, blooming index, and transportation info, making it easy for the public to keep up with the latest flower conditions. “Recommended Flower Viewing Hotspots” features the best flower viewing spots of the week, while the “New Year’s Theme Plan” outlines popular flower-viewing tours.

Additionally, there are related services such as “Flower Introductions” and “Flower Wallpaper Downloads,” with information updated weekly. If you want to enjoy a relaxing flower-viewing trip in Taipei during the Spring Festival holiday, be sure to check out “New Blossom”! For those who don’t use the internet, flower viewing information is also available via MRT platform scrolling messages, public and private radio stations, and outdoor digital billboards.

In addition, the Tourism and Communications Bureau will hold the online event “Taipei New Blossom – Spring Tour in Taipei Brings Luck, Vote for Popular Flower Viewing Spots” from February 12 to March 20, 2013, inviting the public to vote for their favorite flower viewing destinations. Those who complete the vote and leave a comment will have a chance to win great prizes such as a Hello Kitty Fuji instant camera and convenience store gift vouchers.
