Walking on a swaying bridge gets your adrenaline pumping, while offering a bird’s-eye view of the valley below—this is the allure of skywalks and high-altitude suspension bridges.ETtoday Travel Cloud has compiled a list of 3 skywalks set to open in 2018, featuring dynamic thrills, transparent glass platforms, and the skywalk with the greatest elevation drop. Once opened, they are sure to spark a bridge-chasing craze.

1. Taoyuan Xinxikou Suspension Bridge
Located in Taoyuan’s Fuxing District, the Xinxikou Suspension Bridgehas been rescheduled to open on January 13, 2018, alongside the Hot Spring Festival. The Fuxing District Office has also confirmed the ticket prices: NT$100 for adults and NT$70 for concessionary tickets. The bridge’s standout feature is its M-shaped hammock design, which delivers a bouncy, exhilarating walk. Once open, its 303-meter span will make it Taiwan’s longest "hammock-style suspension bridge," surpassing Pingtung’s Shan Chuan Liuli Suspension Bridge.

2. Hsinchu Frog Stone Skywalk
The Frog Stone Skywalk in Hsinchu’s Jianshi Township is largely completed,with an official opening date set for February 1, 2018,making it a new attraction in Hsinchu. Built along a cliff face, the skywalk consists of an ecological trail and a waterfall-viewing trail. Its end features a transparent viewing platform where visitors can admire a 40-meter-high waterfall and enjoy the serene embrace of the forest. Future plans include guided tours with a maximum capacity of 20 people at a time, along with a modest admission fee.

3. Nantou Twin Dragons Dreamlike Suspension Bridge 
At Nantou’s famous Shuanglong Waterfall, trails and footbridges were destroyed in Typhoon Morakot, causing tourism to stagnate for seven years.Nantou County Government has now re-planned and constructed a roughly 345-meter-long sky suspension bridge. Construction resumed in March this year, with completion expected in the second half of 2018. It is temporarily named the "Twin Dragons Dreamlike Suspension Bridge."The bridge towers nearly 30 stories above the river valley, with breathtaking canyon views beneath, delivering a thrilling suspended experience.It’s worth noting that before completion, the bridge will remain closed to unauthorized visitors—those eager to explore will need to be patient.
