The world’s best Korean BBQ, “Maple Tree House,” to open on May 25 & actively hiring

Three new BBQ restaurants have recently opened in the Xinyi District shopping area near Taipei 101. Among them, “Maple Tree House 枫树,” once reported by CNN as the best BBQ in the world, will be the fourth to open, officially launching on May 25, with reservations opening on May 10. The restaurant has also recently held group interviews, offering attractive recruitment packages with a maximum monthly salary of NT$50,000 and hourly wages of NT$180.

Maple Tree House Korean BBQ plans to offer seven types of positions, totaling over 90 job opportunities. Salary levels are higher than the average in the F&B industry — full-time staff can earn at least NT$30,000, with the highest reaching NT$50,000, and including bonuses and allowances. Part-timers can also earn up to NT$180 per hour. Spokesperson Ronald stated that in Korea, BBQ restaurants are the top choice for gatherings with family and friends. Maple Tree House aims to provide spacious dining areas and excellent table-side service. With a total of 114 seats on the first and second floors, the restaurant alone needs more than 50 service staff for the front of house. Ronald, along with the head chef, restaurant manager, and others, traveled to Korea in late March to receive training, mastering everything from ingredients and cooking methods to service procedures. Before the opening, the Korean team will also come to Taiwan. In addition to employee meals and entertainment vouchers, full-time staff will also receive professional training from the Korean team, with hands-on guidance on authentic Korean BBQ techniques from the Ajumma (aunties).
