Following the unveiling of its new cabin crew uniforms, EVA Air announced today (27th) that 2018 will bring more new in-flight meals and service items, including welcome drinks featuring cold-pressed fresh mango blend juice, PAUL pound cakes, SEASON’s new “Neige” (White Hills) cake, APUJAN-designed pajamas, upgraded sleep amenities for Deluxe Economy, and a new beverage menu in collaboration with JL Design. These will be rolled out progressively starting January 1, 2018.

EVA Air’s exclusive cold-pressed fresh welcome juices for Royal Laurel, Premium Laurel, and Business Class cabins have been highly popular with passengers. Starting January 2018, a new “Cold-Pressed Fresh Mango Blend Juice” will be introduced, combining Taiwan’s world-renowned Irwin mangoes with local fresh oranges, passion fruit, bananas, and other fruits to create a unique sweet-and-sour flavor, kicking off your flight with an authentic taste of Taiwan.

For meals, EVA Air has partnered with French century-old bakery and patisserie brand PAUL to offer pound cakes made from exclusively contracted winter wheat on flights returning to Taiwan from Hong Kong (excluding BR828/852/856), with flavors changing monthly. January will feature a multi-layered fruit-infused pound cake and a universally loved chocolate pound cake. Additionally, in collaboration with dessert specialty SEASON, the long-haul Royal Laurel cabin will serve the 2018 new “Neige” (White Hills) cake—an upgraded version of the classic French strawberry cake, with white cheese filling and fresh raspberry jam, offering a delicate and layered taste.

For the beverage and menu designs, EVA Air collaborated with renowned design studio JL Design, adopting the concept “The Best Season is the Season to Return Home” (HOME FOR EVERY SEASON), aiming to convey that EVA Air is a warm and comfortable home in the sky for travelers, and that Taiwan can be home for all. The cover’s main visual is inspired by the concept of “Taiwan’s Seasons in Microcosm,” incorporating Taiwan’s seasonal produce to connect the world with Taiwan through local characteristics, reflecting EVA Air’s brand spirit and promoting Taiwan’s four-season beauty to global travelers.

Beyond new food and beverage offerings, in-flight service items also feature a fresh new look. Starting January 2018, EVA Air’s Elite Class will be renamed Deluxe Economy, with upgraded sleep amenities. The new blankets are double-sided, sewn with washed cotton, featuring a soft brushed fabric on one side and warm fleece on the other for enhanced comfort. The new pillows are larger in size, with uniquely patterned pillowcases for a completely renewed experience.

Additionally, the pajamas and slippers for Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel cabins, co-designed with fashion brand APUJAN, will feature new colors, with blue tones and two unique prints—one symbolizing aerial views with grid patterns, and the other depicting deconstructed cloud layers with vertical stripes—blending design aesthetics with practicality.

EVA Air stated that its service items continue to evolve, from in-flight meals and amenities to beverage menu designs, through ongoing collaborations with well-known brands, aiming to deliver unforgettable flight experiences in ever more creative ways.
